Heaven says it's time
Hey friend,
I've had the song Time (by Amanda Cook) on repeat for the last few days. And there's a specific line that keeps rolling around in my head.
Heaven says it's time.
You see this phrase in movies. "It's time." This point in the movie is where something is about to happen to the protagonist. Something that usually is going to change the story line.
It's time.
But why say it's time? This is indicating there were moments leading up to this change where things were in a previous state and now are about to be in a new state.
I keep thinking of the man at the pool of Bethesda. He was paralyzed for 38 years. He would try and get to the pool to be healed but had no one to carry him and everyone beat him there.
Then Jesus shows up...
'When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had already been there a long time, he said to him, “Do you want to be healed?” ' John 5:6 (emphasis added)
This definitely qualifies for an "it's time" moment, right?
I can even imagine Jesus following up his question with “Heaven says it's time". Time for you to be completely healed and whole. No more waiting. No more striving.
Maybe it's not that different for us. Some of us have not forgiven ourselves for far too long. Some of us have lived with a lie that we are not valuable. That we don't have what takes. That we've messed up too much. Or maybe it’s time to start something new.
My friend. Heaven says it's time for you as well.
Take a few minutes to listen to the song and let the freedom of Heaven wash over your heart and mind.
Heaven says it's time.
P.S. I'd love to hear how God moved in you as you listened to this song. If you're comfortable, let me know in the comments!
